Welcome to the Christ UMC Community Garden Web Page                     
This garden was created February 14, 2011, and is a project that is managed by volunteers of the community that include, but are not limited to, members of Christ United Methodist Church.
The garden is currently made up of 20 raised beds, 4 feet by 12 feet.         
The Christ UMC Community Garden has a board of directors that will manage the garden, including activities and events. The Garden Association is open to everyone for a $ 10.00 annual fee.

Amenities:                     water spigot: bathrooms available only during church office hours
Tools                           Limited amount of community tools are currently available
Preparing soil: Each gardener is responsible for fortifying, tilling, applying fertilizer, harvest, and end-of-season clean up of their plot.
Donation of harvest: We recommend that gardeners donate their first harvest, or "first fruits" to North Fulton Community Charity located at 11270 Elkins Road, Roswell GA 30075.  For more information donation visit   www.nfcchelp.org
Pesticides and Natural Predators: Gardeners should limit the use of pesticides. Gardeners should keep in mind that Geese frequent the garden area and prepare accordingly.
Crops: Trailing vines such as pumpkins and watermelons, and shading crops such as corn, should be planted after careful consideration so as not to impede upon neighboring plots.
