Cornerstone Preschool

The goal of our ministry with children is to lead each one to an acceptance of Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and to develop God-like habits in their relationships with others, loving God and loving their neighbors as themselves.

The "Cornerstone Preschool" is a half-day Christian preschool serving children from one to five years of age.   We offer 2 day/week programs for one and two year olds, 3 day/week programs for three year olds, and 4 day/week programs for four year olds and kindergarten students.  Currently, our hours are 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Our program began in 1990.  By 1998, we had grown to serve more than 50 children through Mother's Morning Out and Preschool programs.  In 2002 and with much excitement, we were able to expand to include a kindergarden class.  And now, at the end of Jan Tamucci's 6th year as director, we have more than doubled in size to an enrollment of 126 students.

Our philosophy is that each child is a child of God and has the right to develop to his or her fullest potential.   Our staff is dedicated to guiding this development by providing positive learning experiences in a warm and loving Christian environment.  The staff is made up of 18 qualified Christian teachers with the common goal of providing each child with the opportunity for growth using art, language, music, manipulatives, computer and listening centers and outdoor play.

Our curriculum is designed to teach the fundamentals that children will need to have a successful transition to elementary school.  We work to make sure that all of our children are provided with the best possible childhood education.  We strive to give our children the right balance of academic and social skills in an environment where they will be loved and nurtured each day by qualified teachers.  A variety of activities are offered including enrichment opportunities such as weekly music classes and chapel time.
